They provide a cloud based suite of data products that effectively allow clients to make smarter investment decisions. In essence this is Big Data for the buy-side delivered via the cloud. Headquartered out of the US they have an impressive client base and now look to grow their Asian footprint. This role has full ownership of sales across the APAC region.
Our client is looking to hire a Head of APAC Sales based out of Hong Kong, you will be managing sales reps in HK, Tokyo and Sydney. The role would effectively be driving sales across the region, taking ownership of the sales strategy, sales revenues, facing off to clients and closing new name revenue - this is player/manager position. With that in mind, this is a growth business so the role may move into a pure sales management position in time although you will own the strategy and execution, whilst looking to expand and grow this team in the region. We require someone with strong sales management experience gained from within a financial vendor that ideally services the buy-side market place. Experience in either data or software sales is required. Importantly, strong sales management experience both hands on and managerial is needed, someone well organised, structured that has good attention to detail. Anyone that can demonstrate a success in building, growing a sales team with well-honed client relationship and negotiation skills is critical, shared examples will be required. This is a business with a strong offering and ambitious growth plans, it reports locally to the Regional MD based in HK.
